TáTú (You Are)
TáTú was born from the land of Ireland—through awe and mystery at thousands of years of story, wisdom, struggle, and resilience.
In the Irish language, TáTú means “You Are.”
A remembering: you are not separate from life. You are life—pure potential, moving, creating, becoming.
The work
TáTú is a living exploration of Celtic‑indigenous body wisdom through rhythm, music, and movement—a path back to what modern life can so easily dull:
pulse, presence, and the path of heart.
This is the root of my flagship work: Sacred Body Rhythm.
TáTú is the work of Dillon Burns (Down, Belfast), now living by sea and mountains in Kerry, Éire.
For a very long time, I opted out of being seen. For most of my life I avoided arenas that mattered most to me — my own path in music, voice, visibility. Not because I wanted to, but because of what I later uncovered in my own self discovery processes, which boiled down to not feeling good enough to step into the arena. I could feel the life I wanted, but I kept my voice small.
From growing up in Belfast to 10 years in London—living that busy city life—I made one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, almost spontaneously: I quit my job, packed my bags, and moved to the rugged beauty of the south‑west of Ireland, minutes from the sea and mountains.
I bought an old Irish farmhouse (parts of it centuries old) and began restoring it using traditional stone and lime mortar. Alongside that, I’ve been quietly rewilding our little patch of land and forest—watching in awe as native species return over the years.
I began working with the woods in a way that walks gently on the land—heating our home using only wind‑fallen wood, cut mostly by hand saw and axe (that’s a functional workout!). It taught me about the law of reciprocity: when we care for the land, the land cares for us.
And it’s in that same closeness to the elements that I realised the changing seasons—reflected in the living land around you—bring you back into rhythm again… closer to the truth of reality. TáTú is partly built from what that life has taught me.
Crossing Thresholds
I seem to be on a journey of crossing many thresholds, seemingly all at the same time or period of life. One of the biggest for me mightn’t seem like much to many : joining traditional music sessions here in Ireland. I walked into that pub and walked right back out more times than I can count. A few times I even hid my flute to pretend I wasn’t going in with it. The difference now was I kept going back. Then one day I stayed, sat down with musicians—many of whom have been playing for decades—took my flute out and started. I remember my mouth completely dry, my forehead and hands sweating. I think that counts as out of my comfort zone. Week after week it didn’t much easier, in fact it sort of got worse because I knew how bad it was the week before!… until slowly, it started to get a little easier. Today it’s much easier to go— I’m still early on the journey, but its an absolute joy to be on it.
TáTú is another threshold and part of that same decision: choosing wholeness over hiding, and sharing practices that bring us back to ourselves—imperfectly, but wholeheartedly.
The years spent in professional corporate learning & development looked like success from the outside, but inside I kept hearing the same question: When am I actually going to start doing what I came here to do? That question began a long apprenticeship—through training, practice, research, and lived experience—in what it actually means to follow the heart in a grounded way.
Over time, that apprenticeship became Sacred Body Rhythm: a Celtic‑rooted, body-based way back to vitality, clarity, and the next true step—through movement, light, water, earth/electric, and rhythm.
I’m a perpetual learner and someone who continues to cross thresholds, I’m here only as a guide—teaching what I practice.
