Guide Letter #3 - Earth Cycles & How to Thrive in the New Light of 2025!
Dia Duit! (Power of Creation to you)
It's time to thrive and come truly alive in 2025!
We have now moved beyond the Celtic "Grianstad" (the Sun Stop, where the Sun appears to stop at the same horizon point at sunset for 3 days consecutively around Solstice) and we have moved into the new light of the New Year, 2025!
The feeling is palpable. A whole new year of new light to create anything we want in our lives!
During this period we have been reminded to honour our ancestors, the cycle of life, death and rebirth, the slow return to the light after the winter darkness and the ancient understanding that all things come to an end, and are then reborn again in one new form or another.
2025 too will come to an end, and so we need clarity on how to make it the best year possible, now.
To truly thrive 2025, it is vital we have a deep and powerful reflections practice on the year that has just passed so we can move into 2025 with more intentionality, conscious awareness and purpose!
It is definitely not too late to do this if you have not already, and so here is an overview of the reflection practice I work with:
Review your year in photos
Take some time out, start on January 1st 2024, and go over all your photos to Dec 31st 2024. This could obviously take a long time, so do the best you can, but this is a powerful way to remind yourself just what life was like in 2024. We tend to take photos at the highs of course, so this can be a really positive reminder of all that was great in 2024. But also photos could remind us of the lows as well and so we can get something of the spectrum of life which is useful.
Reread 2024 journals if you use them
Take your 2025 journal and write out a short summary of what happened in 2024, key insights or take aways.
Review your calendar if you use one
Check what meetings, events, occasions you were part of, what you actually put in and committed yourself to, accomplished, who you maybe helped, how many times did you show up, we forget so easily. Write a short summary of this too in your 2025 journal.
What worked in 2024?
Take another page in your journal or anywhere, make a list of what worked in 2024, the things that were really good, that raised you up and helped you feel alive.
Then also make a list of what didn't work in 2024, things that held you back, or brought you down in any way at all,
What do you need more of in 2025?
Take another new page, now make a list of what you need more of in 2025 and what you need less of in 2025 based on your review of 2024.
This is powerful list and can bring A LOT of conscious clarity to your life moving into 2025.
Lastly, the human biological-solar system connection
The solar day is around 24 hours, and our own circadian rhythm is a 24-hour internal biological clock that regulates hormonal cycles of alertness and sleepiness in response to light changes in our environment. This is a cycle in our bodies, mirrored by a larger cycle in the solar system. All by design.
Our internal biology is designed to be directly connected in a synchronised dance with the solar system in cycles between light and dark. We are truly connected to the solar system and the universe.
This plays a key role as the master of our recovery, sleep, and in our wellbeing overall.
Today, our circadian rhythm or circadian health is not what it once was, because we no longer live with the suns 24 cycle of light and darkness. This brings us many health challenges.
However once we reconnect back to the sun cycle, we start living on another level of vitality and states of aliveness.
If we then combine this with intentional living and purpose, its another level again and start feeling like we're not waiting for life to happen at all, but like we are truly living and thriving, now!
I'll cover more on how to reconnect to our true natural circadian rhythm in the future TáTú Guide Letters.
For now, wishing you the best and highest states of truly living and aliveness for 2025!
Le buíochas,
Dillon
